Alison is a data-driven Product leader, blending successful leadership with nonprofit program management experience to deliver customer-centric products. Currently, she is a Senior Product Manager at 23andMe, empowering people with access to and understanding of their genetic results. Prior to pursuing her graduate work, Alison started off her career as a Development Assistant and Program Coordinator at EastWest Institute. During her tenure at the think tank, she successfully led the project management roadmap for the annual conference in London and New Delhi. However, her main achievement was creating and implementing a new corporate membership program that tripled the number of corporate donors which resulted in a 100% increase in donations. She has a proven track record of challenging existing processes and infrastructure to develop and fuel more efficient, innovative solutions for both internal and external customers. Prior to her current position at 23andMe, she has been progressively attaining higher Product managerial roles at Macy’s, a retail brand that also organizes spectacular fashion shows, culinary events along with flower shows. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry & Government and holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management. An inspiring speaker, Alison enjoys sharing her expertise in strategy development and user research to help other professionals deliver impactful products.
