Bala Subramaniam

Bala Subramaniam is the Head of Product for Fulfillment and Marketplace at Instacart. As an early employee of Instacart, he helped shape and was responsible for the strategy and execution of core products in the Fulfillment and Marketplace ecosystem. Along with a great team of engineers, data scientists, designers, operation leaders, and finance, he helped the company scale to more than 10X of the business and drive profitability.

He believes in leading from behind to empower the team with a platform of trust and credibility, leading from the front when there is a crisis.

He’s also a father and is enjoying the time of his life with the little one. He’s a fan of tech, cricket, ping-pong and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of leaders.
