Byron Jones

Byron Jones is the Director of Product at Optimizely, the world’s leader in digital experience optimization, where he leads a team dedicated to making Optimizely an open and scalable platform. He is passionate about democratizing the scientific method and enabling businesses to make data-driven decisions.

Prior to joining Optimizely in 2012, Byron spent a decade at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he worked as a system engineer for two robotic missions to Mars and an X-ray telescope. While at NASA, Byron held both technical and oversight roles on flight projects in all stages of development, testing, and operations of unmanned spacecraft. He earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering from CU Boulder and studied for a semester in Seville, Spain.
