Chief Product Officer, Waymo
Daniel is a Chief Product Officer at Waymo, overseeing all of Product Management, technical program management, user experience design, user experience research, and product data analytics. Prior to his current role, he was a Group Product Manager at Google, managing PM team overseeing the Google Maps Developer Platform (Maps API),
Android/iOS apps (My Maps, Coordinate), and Maps ads monetization. Daniel started out as a Product Manager for Google Hangouts API that enables developers to build collaborative apps on the Hangouts video platform, Youtube integration into Hangouts, etc. He gained experience in Software Engineering working at Catapulse, a development tools startup funded by Benchmark Capital. After nearly 2 years, Daniel went on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Open Harbor, a global trade web services startup funded by New Enterprise Associates and Menlo Ventures. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, an MPA in Energy and Natural Resources from Harvard Kennedy School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
