Derrick Ongchin

Derrick Ongchin is the Product Director for Risk and Data at Afterpay, leading Product Management efforts in risk, identity, security, and Machine Learning while serving over 30,000 retail and brand partners. Prior to Afterpay, he founded and led the risk, abuse, and security product teams at Uber where he pioneered solutions for the on-demand, sharing economy industry.

Derrick graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with an MBA and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Previously he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Cornell University.
