he drives the future of Trends and Event Detection on Twitter to help people be in the know with what’s happening in the world and discover events, topics, and communities they care about. Frank collaborates with a cross-functional team of machine learning engineers, design, and product marketers to build amazing products for Twitter’s customers. He also worked as a Product Manager for Groupon’s recommendations engine, which powers the majority of Groupon’s revenue through algorithmic ranking. It’s achieved by driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap of new machine learning and infrastructure products that deliver on company revenue and conversion targets, leading cross-functional teams of talented engineers, data scientists, analysts, and designers to execute on the product strategy, determining the requirements and prioritization, leveraging both user research and customer behavior data, communicating clear roadmaps, priorities, and A/B experiments and results across a wide spectrum of audiences from internal partners to executive leaders. Prior to Groupon, Frank was a Product Manager at IBM, where he led teams of engineers and designers to build key functionality and launch successful releases and developed use cases and performed in-depth analyses for IBM R&D. He began his career as a Project Engineer at SunEdison, managing technical design, approval process, and vendor relationships to build utility-scale solar projects. Later, transitioning to Project Manager and led cross-functional teams consisting of internal engineers, developers, and external consultants in the technical development of utility-scale solar projects. Frank’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
