Hugh Beyer

Hugh is a published expert in user-centered design, bringing to his current position a business-oriented focus combined with an understanding of UX to create winning products for Cohealo. For each company he leads, Hugh strives to maximize the value of user data to the business. 

Upon graduation, he began his professional career with Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Principal Software Engineer, a position he held for 11 years. After his extensive tenure in the IT and Services, his entrepreneurial mindset led him to co-found his own venture, InContext Design, a customer-centered design consultancy. For over 22 years, he has been leading his company’s efforts by guiding design teams while bringing technical knowledge and focus on the enterprise. Prior to his current position as a UX Product Manager at Cohealo, Hugh has worn various hats across the domains of Health Care and Network Security, as a UX Architect, Director of Product Development and most recently UX Designer. His broad background and wide-ranging interests give him unique insight into providing customers with unique value.

Hugh graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. An avid writer, Hugh published a book and numerous papers on UX techniques, contextual design, and user-centered agile methods. Outside of work, Hugh holds an Aikido black belt.
