Today, she is a Senior Engineering Manager at Improbable, helping answer critical questions through simulations that could lead to a better functioning world.During her lucrative career, Julie worked
across a variety of domains such as IT & Services, Computer Software, Hospital & Health Care, Government Administration along with Education Management. She began her professional career as a Web Developer, however, she also contributed to multiple roles as Technical Director, Software Engineer, and Technical Product Manager to name a few. On top of her academic and professional endeavors, Julie is also an avid volunteer; she co-founded Women in Product and is a mentor for Coding It Forward and Plato.She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mary Baldwin University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Master of Arts in English, both from San Jose State University and additionally she holds a Ph.D. in English from Washington State University. Julie is passionate about teams and building them, and considers herself an adventurer.
