Kaarel Kuddu

Kaarel has a long history in IT with over 10 years of experience in system analysis, business analysis and has participated in some of the biggest IT projects in Estonia. Currently, he’s the Head of Product at TransferWise and for four years, he’s been responsible for the expansion and development of the TransferWise product around the world. Prior to TransferWise, Kaarel founded and ran a software development, business and IT consultancy company called Iglu OÜ. The company’s expertise included Business Analysis, UX Analysis, Design and Development, Project Initiation and Management, Development Portfolio Preparation and Management, Systems Analysis, Software Development, QA, DevOps, User Acceptance Testing, and  QA Management. Kaarel got his start in IT as a Systems Analyst at Webmedia, then later, becoming a Busines Analyst and lastly as Lead Business Analysts. While there, he was responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. Kaarel is also well versed in public speaking, having given multiple interviews and speaking at notable events such as ProductTank NYC, JAM London, and Fintech Forum. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Business Information Technology and a Master’s in Enterprise Software Engineering.
