Kate Leto

Kate is a Coach, Product Advisor, and Author with over 25 years of experience working on transformation initiatives across a variety of industries. Her book, "Hiring Product Managers" is an incredibly useful resource that has helps people to rethink what skills they look for and need in a product team. It is all about using Product EQ to go beyond culture and skills.

She has previously worked as Head of Product at MOO.COM, building their Product Management and UX team while redesigning their whole website. Before she officially joined the company she spent time working on their marketing and product projects as an Independent Contractor. She has also spent time on the Product and Marketing team at Yahoo! She started off as a Marketing Manager for Search and Marketplace BU, leading the development and launch of one of the company's first self-developed community properties, Yahoo! Autos Custom.

She then moved into her next role as a Marketing Lead for Search in the UK, Denmark, and France. She also managed advertising development for the UK, Denmark, France, Italy, and Spain markets. Her final role with the company was as a Product Lead for Social Search in the UK and EU, where she was the voice of product to the organization.

Kate has also worked as a Marketing Manager for MarketsonDemand and Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. In addition, she helped manage multi-million dollar programs as a Senior Account Executive for Edelman.

She attended Santa Clara University for her Bachelor's degree, studying History and Political Science. She proudly graduated with honors. Later, she went on to earn her Master's in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University. She also earned business and personal coaching accreditation from Barefoot Coaching.

As a Mentor, Kate challenges her mentees and helps them grow their confidence while choosing the right path for their future. As a Product Leader, she brings a great vision and passion for her products to the table along with top-notch team leadership skills. She is incredibly skilled at streamlining business teams, product owners, development teams, and users into a focused process. She is capable of rising to any challenge and is someone you can rely on to get things done.
