Prajakta Naik

Prajakta is curious and passionate about learning new technologies and methodologies that help her and her team create amazing products for the future. She steps up as the voice of the customer to deliver them their perfect product. She has been described as a quick learner, positive leader, and driven manager who has a successful track record of exceeding expectations. She is constantly looking for ways to grow and improve, whether that be by stepping up to new challenges or simply staying open to feedback from her colleagues.

She is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at PayPal. Before this, she was a Software Engineer/Product Manager at eBay. She was a key contributor and part of the development team that built their Virtual Assistant slack bot. As a Scrum Master, she provided incremental development of the product and helped reduce 30% of Jira tickets which saved 10 hours of work per week. Before that, she also worked as a Software Developer for their data and infrastructure support team and as a Software Engineer Summer Intern.

She has also spent time as a Mentor at the Google Summer of Code in 2016. There she gave her mentee support during every step of her three-month internship program. Additionally, she has worked as an Opensource Openstack Contributor at Hewlett-Packard and a Web Developer at Rakuten.

Prajakta earned her Bachelor of Engineering at the Pune Institute of Computer Technology. A few years after graduating she went on to get her Master's in Software Engineering from San Jose State University. She is also an Oracle Certified Java SE 7 Programmer.
