Rene Kolga is a veteran Product Manager with more than 20 years of experience working for both Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley startups. He has led over 40 products in the enterprise software sector with annual revenues up to $300M. He is currently the Head of Product Management at
Nyotron. There he leads cross-functional teams as they strive to reimagine endpoint protection and EDR from scratch. Before joining Nyotron, Rene has held senior Product Management positions in companies such as Symantec, Citrix, SolarCity, and ThinAir. In those roles, he was able to prove his excellent leadership skills, which allow him to build relationships, communicate his product vision and set priorities. Furthermore, he developed incredible expertise in Portfolio Rationalization, Product Integration, Business Development, and Product Marketing. Although he deployed those skills in several areas of software development, Rene’s passion is Cyber Security. He loves to write and speak on the topics of product management and cybersecurity, meaning that he has several publications to his name. But Rene was not always a Product Manager as he started his career as a Software Engineer and Support Manager. He started his career by graduating from Tallinn University of Technology with a Computer Science degree and then went on to study an MBA from the University of Utah.
