Director of Product Management, OnDeck
Saummya is an experienced Director of Product Management at OnDeck, leading the company’s efforts to help OnDeck keep the status of being the largest online small business lender in the U.S. Prior to her current position, she has spent almost the past 5 years progressively attaining higher Product managerial positions at
OnDeck. Upon graduation and after completing various internships in web development, software development engineering and evaluation, Saummya began her professional career at Microsoft as a Program Manager, a role she held for two years. One of her many achievements includes designing, developing and iteratively growing automated platforms. Moreover, under Saummya’s leadership, cross-functional teams at Microsoft effectively captured and shared business intelligence using data obtained from customers and other partners. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science Engineering from Cornell University. On top of her academic and professional endeavors, Saummya is also an avid volunteer; she organized two successful TEDx conferences at Cornell University with speakers ranging from students, community members, professors, and alumni and she collaborated with the AppFactory team in South Africa and Developer Evangelists in Washington DC to come up with new ideas for apps locally relevant to the African market.
