Swati Jhawar

Swati Jhawar is a Principal Product Leader driving Microsoft Viva, the 'Employee Experience' initiative. She is one of the founding members of 'Microsoft Teams', the fastest-growing product in the history of Microsoft! She is originally from India and joined Microsoft 12 years ago, right after graduating with flying colors in Computer Science (Gold Medalist). These 12 years of her Product journey gave her experiences varying from consumer to enterprise products and what it means to build a product from scratch and take it to millions of users.

Swati is a Product/Program Management leader with extensive experience and proven impact across a wide range of global and industry-leading enterprise and consumer products. She specializes in crafting cohesive user experiences, incubation of new products and concepts, product strategy, and nurturing innovation into the product experience. Excellent design, leadership, and communication skills combined with a strong drive to make things happen. She is a strong believer- "It is not done until it is shipped!!"

Swati has 12 years of people management and team development experience, including managing distributed teams and engineers across the globe, recruiting and mentoring PMs as well as engineers who are interested in the PM career track. She is versed in all aspects of Product Management including market and customer research, complete analysis, ideation & concept testing, product definition, UX design, project execution, go-to-market, marketization/internationalization, sales & marketing, field & support, business insights, and product deprecation.

Swati has diverse experience in startup projects, emerging/mature/turnaround businesses. When it comes to UX she has worked on inclusive and user-centric design, visioning, prototyping, focus group testing, user research, storyboarding, cross-platform responsive design (mobile/web/desktop), A/B testing, mine usage, and market insights for the products through analytics and influence business growth decisions based on metrics. Her tech experience includes software engineering, agile development, online services, product management, project management, architecture, experimentation, search, monetization, classification, query understanding, spell correction, and ranking. Swati is an effective communicator with excellent verbal, written, presentation, and persuasion skills, exercised at all levels, including CXOs/Executive Leadership
