Seth Hodgson

Seth Hodgson is the VP of Engineering at Udemy. He has been with the company for just over two years after joining as a Senior Director of Engineering. Before this, he was at Vrbo, part of the Expedia Group, as their Director of Engineering. He focused on the traveler customer journey, client APIs, core domains, and the overall Vrbo lodging system. His efforts, alongside his team's, helped to keep powerful growth even during the challenges brought to travel due to COVID. Seth has also worked as a Principal Software Development Engineer for Skype and Lync at Microsoft and as a Senior Computer Scientist at Adobe.

Seth attended UC Santa Barbara where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In order to keep his tech skills sharp, he has completed various certifications over the years to expand his knowledge on topics including APIs, Azure Fundamentals, and AWS.
