Des Traynor

Des is someone with a truly deep knowledge of user experience and interaction design. His colleagues are constantly impressed with his knowledge and productivity level. He is patient and always willing to help those around him reach his level of success. He adds value to not only what he is working on but also to those he is working with.

Currently, Des is working as the Chief Strategy Officer at Intercom, a company he also co-founded. Before that, he was a User Experience Lead at Contrast. As this was a smaller company he wore many hats during his time there which included UX Lead, Project Manager, Client Relations, and more. He was also a Lecturer in User Experience Design for Master's courses at the National College of Ireland.

Des attended Maynooth University for his Bachelor's in Computer Science and Software Engineer. During his studies, he helped to found and run the Computer Science Society Minds, an organization he is still involved with to this day. He continued his studies at the University by going after his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Although he chose to not complete the degree after deciding to pursue a career in web development and interaction design instead, which has been quite successful, to say the least.
