Taking both PMC and PLC helped me develop critical product skills to master my job and get a product promotion. The case studies and real examples shared by my instructor helped me put into practice the frameworks that I learned and drive impact in my work.
Here’s what’s covered:
Great PMs need to understand how to support a Product Strategy. But as you ascend the Product career ladder, you are responsible for owning that strategy, crafting it, and communicating it effectively. We’ll walk you through how to create a compelling Product Strategy, translate your product strategy into clear objectives that your teams can action upon, and manage a portfolio of Product work.
Great Product Leaders are excellent communicators and evangelists. As a Product Leader, you need to build and sustain a high performing team, influence and align cross-functionally to succeed, and communicate and drive strategy with your executive stakeholders. We’ll share best practices and frameworks to set you up for success as you build next-level leadership skills.
From owning and leading effective, engaging meetings to driving success at scale, you’ll learn and gain confidence in the advanced processes that you’ll be expected to own as a Product Leader. You’ll learn how to acquire (or create) the tools and software your team needs to execute, and become a mentor to your Product Team as they pursue the goals and initiatives that you have helped to create and define.
We’ll walk you through how to generate expert-level insights using qualitative and quantitative data. Product Managers analyze data. As you ascend in your product career, you decide what gets analyzed, and use this analysis to inform key strategic decisions that you will be involved in making. From connecting your Product Strategy to ROI and metrics to understanding financial modeling and unit economics, you'll learn how to master the business and analytical side of making products succeed.
Product Managers don't grow in their careers by default. Those who make it work hard and smart to deliberately make this transition. However, working efficiently and effectively is only part of this puzzle. Emerging Product Leaders also carefully position themselves with their managers to land that promotion and earn greater responsibility. We'll coach you on how to effectively set yourself up for success.
