Zac is a user-focused and seasoned Product Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience to his position. Today, he is a Vice President of Product at BuildingConnected, building beautiful SaaS products for the commercial construction industry.He started off his professional career as a Software Engineer at Nokia Mobile Phones and
shortly after he took up the role as a Program Manager at Microsoft, working on Windows 7. Zac first broke into Product at Rovi Corporation as a Director of Program/Product Management for the company’s search & recommendation engine and cloud services. He was a key member of the Program Management team and the skills he contributed were instrumental in the specification and implementation of the company’s advertising solutions in many significant releases. He was often consulted as Subject-Matter-Expert by senior product managers and engineering leads. He takes a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses efficient project management skills combined with a deep technical understanding and business insight into the market. On top of being excellent in Product Management, Zac’s other areas of expertise include Online Advertising and Agile Methodologies.Zac holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. Moreover, he has completed two UC extension courses in Business Administration and Management from UCLA and UC Berkeley.
