Munawwar Tayob

Munawwar currently is a Product Leader at Uber. She enjoys solving problems, particularly ones that allow us to live more sustainably, to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor. Prior to joining Uber, she worked as a Product Manager at Yoco. For her, Product Management has been the starting point to discovering her underlying abilities and acquiring useful skills.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Capetown, where she also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Besides, Munawwar has volunteered in the past as a Fundraising Manager at Thethani Debating League coaching juniors and seniors from Mfuleni High School in Debating as an extra-mural. Another of her volunteer roles was to encourage the involvement of young women in community service and upliftment.
