Xabier is the VP of Product Marketing for Algolia, the leading Search & Discovery API for websites and mobile apps. Algolia has 8,600 customers serving 500M users every month, and a run rate of 1 Trillion annual searches in 2020. His role is to lead product messaging, positioning and go to market strategy as the company continues to grow in e-Commerce, Media, OEM and Site Search segments globally.Prior to Algolia, Xabier held regional and enterprise marketing leadership roles at Google Cloud, Dropbox, Salesforce, and other technology companies in a 20+ year customer facing career spanning consulting, pre-sales, product marketing and corporate marketing.Born and raised in the US, Xabier spent 19 years working in Europe, based in Madrid and London, where he gained a unique appreciation for international business, growing and developing cloud companies from the ground up. A recent transplant to the San Francisco Bay Area, he is passionate about technology, communication, design, growing and nurturing successful teams, and building great customer experiences.Xabier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
