Alfonso is an amazing marketer and strategic thinker who has the ability to step out of his own skin far enough to see the big picture from all angles. He has an unparalleled grasp of the UX & MRX space along with an insight into how to reach consumers. In 2001 Alfonso co-founded the first UX consultancy in Spain (Xperience Consulting), which grew successfully and profitably for 7 years and helped me gain a fair bit of domain expertise. In 2007 he co-founded a UX SaaS business (UserZoom). UserZoom provides an all-in-one UX research platform for the Enterprise. It automates and scales user research. They bootstrapped it out of Spain, but quickly he moved back to Silicon Valley to roll out the US market. In 7 years, they scaled to $15M in revenue AND were profitable, with only $1.7M investment. Instead of raising more capital, they grew organically, using the profits from our previous consulting business to fund growth. They were able to penetrate the Enterprise market and land accounts such as Google, IBM, eBay, State Farm, Citi, UPS and many other F500, and across 15 countries. Then in Q4 2015 they raised their Series A from Sunstone Capital Partners, for a total of $34M. One of his main strengths is business strategy, being the visionary and head of UserZoom's marketing and sales strategy, Alfonso has defined the direction of UserZoom from the beginning. He has been successful in defining our market, our mission, and vision for the future.
