Avantika Gomes is a Product Manager at Pinterest, passionate about customer-centric products, mobile growth strategies with 6+ years of product experience. She has graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science Engineering and Economics (Management & Entrepreneurship). Her extensive career includes product experience in social media, eCommerce, growth, mobile (native & web) and data analytics. So far, Avantika enjoyed a variety of roles including Program and Product Manager, Analytical Lead and Business Analyst through working with companies such as Microsoft, McKinsey&Company, Google and today also Pinterest. As a Senior Analytical Lead at Google, Avantika identified trends and insights relating to Google search, YouTube video, ad attribution, impact and measurement. These insights in Data Modeling, Analysis and Problem Solving are shared with Google clients and partners to support the sales, marketing and product development efforts. Among Google’s global pool of analysts, Avantika’s contribution was truly recognised when she was nominated by team director as a "Brand Insights Guru". As a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, Avantika served clients on a variety of topics ranging from merger management, cost reduction, go-to-market strategy and organizational redesign. This opportunity allowed her to gain experience, both domestic and international, through leading problem-solving sessions with C-suite clients and senior partners. Again, her effort was recognised when she was nominated for a task force with Global Managing Director to scope and define the McKinsey Social Initiatives. Today, Avantika leads the development of Social Product experiences at Pinterest. Her commitment and ongoing focus is on creating a sustainable channel to grow, re-engage and retain the active user base as well as deepening the engagement of the existing user base.
