Gaurav builds products that delight users, solve real problems, and make business sense. He loves helping aspiring/new product managers grow in their careers and always open to mentoring conversations. Currently, Gaurav is Head of Product at Amazon, building out two new products - Posts and Follow - that will fundamentally change the way shoppers buy on Amazon by introducing deeply engaging feeds of lifestyle content that encourage shoppers to explore, discover and get inspired to make serendipitous purchases. As part of this role, in addition to setting the vision for the broader product and building relationships with advertisers/brands, he personally manages teams that focus on Shopper CX and ML/Data Science to drive acquisition, engagement and repeat usage. Gaurav began at Amazon as a Principal Product Manager of Inventory Management, leading a team of Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to build and operate predictive models to predict inventory levels for the upcoming year for Amazon's retail business. Before working at Amazon, Gaurav dedicated 10 years of his expertise to Microsoft as a Senior Technical Product Manager, where he led engineering and product efforts for administrative capabilities and UX for OneDrive for Business, spanning security, device management, compliance, and reporting. He also launched Office365 Groups and worked on a stealth start-up within the Xbox division to build a new service to stream Xbox games to handheld devices. Gaurav has a Master of Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
