Helen George

Helen has successfully delivered Digital Products for clients in various industries: retail, travel, healthcare and more. She’s turned complex business problems and customer needs into creative, innovative solutions and is an expert in agile software development with extensive experience in leading cross-functional distributed teams. Currently, Helen is a Senior Product Manager at Pivotal Labs. Prior to her current role, she was a Senior Consultant at ThoughtWorks. Helen has made many key accomplishments throughout her career with her core skills being Product Ownership, Product Management, Agile Project Management, Data Analytics, Feature Prioritization, and Story Writing. She’s led a  team of 10 engineers and 2 UX designers to implement an online appointment scheduling application for a US Top 10 hospital with a $3 million budget, created a product roadmap for a major world leader in the retail market to build a personalized and product-centric shopping experience, and delivered scalable e-commerce site within $4 million budget and rolled out the site to 100 retail stores across the nation for a Fortune 50 retailing company. Helen’s also initiated new product opportunities to promote patient experience on the mobile platform for a major medical center of with 47,000 mobile users/week, and coordinated defining success metrics, implementing Adobe analytics and creating analytics dashboard to leverage data to validate hypothesis for the product and to understand the users’ behavior. She has both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
