Software Engineer, MealPal
Jim Rectenwald is a member of the Engineering team at MealPal where he works on new features for their meal subscription service. Previously, he worked as a web developer for the NY-based e-commerce marketplace, pulsd. Jim's first experience in education was as a high school STEM instructor with Teach for
America where he organized his school's first coding class. Following TFA he continued on as an instructor at youth coding camps organized by The Flatiron School, Upperline Code, and several NYC high schools. Outside of the classroom he has written Ruby and Swift curriculum for summer camps at Upperline Code and has worked as a one-on-one coding instructor for students as well as professionals in the tech industry. As a Lead Instructor at Product School, Jim is excited to help others discover the joy of coding and all of the opportunities that come with it.
