Jarrett digs into ambiguous problem spaces, empathize with users, and craft strategies to bring valuable outcomes to users and our business. He has a proven track record for successfully delivering solutions to complex technical problems that users love. Jarrett is a naturally curious person who has to understand ‘why.’ Although he doesn’t code, Jarrett has the technical skills to get in-depth with our software and engineers. Currently, he is Lead Product Manager at ThoughtWorks.
Previously, he was a Senior Product Manager at CNN, overseeing the Publishing and Content Management Re-platform. Jarrett improved the profitability of CNN by making it more efficient to produce high-quality stories, streamlined time to market for new consumer features by more than 90% by re-imagining our publishing platform end-to-end, and raised $10MM in internal funding to scale our MVP to a full platform. Additionally, he grew monthly uniques and video starts double digits by launching a new breaking news publishing tool and led two cross-functional, agile product teams of ten total engineers. Prior to his current role, Jarrett was a Systems/Software Developer Turner Broadcasting, where he turned around our declining newsletter products and shifted to growth, improving open rates by 500% and adding over 1MM new subscribers, and overhauled our newsletter go-to-market strategy with a new email platform, new brands, new marketing, a new content strategy, and a test-driven approach.
