Kara is a digital strategy, online marketing and product development specialist who uses online media to drive consumer engagement and achieve business goals. Her expertise lies at the intersection of e-commerce, media, and tech, which gave her a perfect blend of skills for a career for online media portals, digital marketing agencies, nonprofits and eventually in product. She began her professional career at McKinsey & Company as a Content and Technology Coordinator, a role which she held for four years. After obtaining her MBA, Kara eventually broke into Product at AOL, a global media and technology company that provides both premium content and innovative technology. Throughout her lucrative career, she has contributed to multiple roles as Senior Interactive Strategist, Account Director, Consultant, and Director of Web Strategies. She has successfully co-lead complex, large-scale projects thanks to her great attention to detail, foresight and positive "get it done" attitude. Moreover, she has been particularly effective at identifying and attracting new consumers via integrated digital platforms, growing revenue, and launching new online businesses and products.Today, Kara is a Senior Product Manager at GSA, a supplier of products and communications for U.S. government offices. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Hood College and an MBA from Babson College.
