Karthik is a Product Strategist with a deep background in software security and privacy, interested in solving technical and business problems, in entrepreneurship, and in coaching and developing product leaders. For nearly 10 years, he’s worked at Adobe in various different roles. Currently, Karthik is Senior Product Manager, shaping vision and strategy of privacy as a Product in Adobe Experience Cloud. Karthik was the founder of the Adobe Experience Cloud Privacy Product Group and Lead Product Manager for BU’s GDPR and privacy product development work. He led a customer roadshow on GDPR and privacy in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, & Munich, and a customer-advisory board meeting in London. Additionally, Karthik was a founding member of Adobe Device Co-op, a key strategic project for Adobe and had Product contributions featured on main stage at Adobe SUMMIT 2016 in front of over 10,000 customers. Karthik began working at Adobe as a Security Researcher in the Adobe Product Security Incident Response Team and Adobe Secure Software Engineering Team. As a Security Researcher he triaged, analyzed, and contributed to protections for dozens of zero-days vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash, Reader, and Shockwave Player, partnered with Microsoft on security, and represented Adobe at dozens of security conferences and shared security-industry trends with Adobe security community. Prior to Adobe, he was a Research Scientist at McAfee, where he reverse-engineered malware and authored generic anti-malware signatures for mass-malware detection and cleaning, built advanced anti-malware technology, received US Patent 9,501,640. Karthik was a founding team member of the McAfee Threat Intelligence Service. Karthik holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, an MS in Computer Science from UC Irvine, and a BS in Computer Science and Computer Security & Information Assurance from Norwich University. He's a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Executive Coach.
