Kavya Mallesh

After having worked in a purely technical capacity as a software engineer for a long time, Kavya realized her versatile skill set was a perfect blend for a career in product. During her successful and lucrative professional work of over a decade, Kavya has held positions ranging from Software Engineer to Product Manager at various enterprises including Sling, Intuit and today, Walmart.

Prior to obtaining her MBA degree, Kavya was a graphics software engineer at Intel, leading development of Intel video processing graphics drivers on Apple products. Her responsibilities included analysis of the performance and optimization of media driver while collaborating with different cross functional teams across Shanghai, London and Folsom. Shortly after, as a Senior Staff Product Manager, specialising on Sling TV products, she developed the strategic product road map and defined product features by closely working with user experience, consumer research teams and other product managers.

Today, Kavya is a Senior Product Manager at Walmart eCommerce at their location in San Francisco, promoting company’s efforts to define the future state of shopping. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
