Markus is a Product Director at Adobe, building beautiful and engaging products to help millions of people become better creators with Adobe’s Creative Cloud products. Prior to Adobe, Markus was the Vice President of Product and Design at Udacity and did oversee the online university's student experience together with the product management, product design, data, service, community and operational teams in his business unit. In this capacity he lead a 100+ people organization, impacting all global students who was directly responsible for their success. Prior to his role at Udacity, Markus worked as the Chief Product Officer of EyeEm, a global community and marketplace for photography. He co-founded the start-up focussing on mobile app distribution and development and under his leadership the company transformed from a Berlin-based startup to a company with a world-class product and design that achieved a global footprint. As the head of product, Markus led the biggest redesign of Flickr in years, including significant updates for its iPhone and Android apps and one terabyte of free space to all Flickr users. He has graduated from University of Dresden with a Dipl.-Ing. in Architecture. An avid writer, Markus has published several books and articles about mobile development, HTML5 and photo-sharing. Markus enjoys sharing with a wider audience his path on breaking into Product and all the challenges he faces in this dynamic role.
