Praveen Subramani

Praveen Subramani is a product leader & technologist based in San Francisco, CA. His expertise lies in consumer digital & hardware products focused on mobility & energy management. Praveen is currently Director of Product Management at Turo, the world’s leading peer-to-peer carsharing marketplace. Previously, he designed autonomous and electric vehicle product & service experiences at NIO. Before that, he led energy Product Management at Nest Labs & Google, including consumer energy efficiency & demand response products for the Nest Learning Thermostat. Prior to Nest, Praveen was a visiting professor & Fulbright Scholar, in residence at the Design Lab of Universidad Adolfo Ibañez in Santiago, Chile. Praveen's earlier career focused on new product development, prototyping new user interfaces and technologies at Apple & the MIT Media Lab. He holds an M.Sc. from the City Science group at the MIT Media Lab, and a B.Sc. in EECS and urban design from MIT.
