Stefan Iliescu

Stefan is a Product Leader in Alexa Shopping Technology at Amazon. He has a special sense when it comes to knowing what products will and won't be easy for customers to use. He is a pleasure to work with as he is always supplying his colleagues with thoughtful feedback and always recognizes when he is wrong or hasn't considered something in terms of his plan. Not to mention when this happens he works hard and fast to find solutions and create better products from his mistakes. He is also very technically savvy and always takes into consideration when things are on a strict timeline.

At Amazon, he is a Lead for Proactive Alerts and Books Conversational Recommendation Experiences. He is in charge of the development of the customer experience and its implementation with engineering. His products include an AI personalized book recommendation system. Before this role, he was the Manager of International Expansion and New Ventures Product Management in New York City. He and his team launched Audible Canada and Audible for Business. He also spent time as Manager for Growth Product Management working on revamping the mobile acquisition and influencer marketing channels.

His other experience includes working as a Senior Analyst at Yodle, a Business Analyst at OnDeck, and an Analyst at BlackRock. During his time at the latter, he advised clients on valuations for $40B structured product portfolios. He has also volunteered his time as a Startup Mentor at Newark Venture Partners.

Stefan studied Economics and German at the University of Virginia for his Bachelor's degree. He has also earned a Professional Certification in Data Science.
