Vivek is a business tech leader with 16+ years of global experience in the enterprise, consumer space with Fortune 100, high-growth companies, and startups. He has more than a decade of experience managing multi-million dollar P&Ls and growing businesses internationally. Vivek has launched products, and managed portfolios that created value, won industry awards, and positioned companies for acquisition. He has grown businesses and ecosystems multifold across customers, and geographies. Vivek has extensive global experience (Americas, EMEA, APAC) working with customers, partners, and teams. He is very passionate about helping people develop and attain much more than they thought possible. He has more than a decade of experience building and leading high-performing global cross-functional (PM, engineering, UX, marketing, BD) teams. Vivek has experience working with and selling to leadership, C-suite, and board of directors. He has an MBA from NYU Stern with degrees in engineering. 

Currently, he is a Senior Manager of Product Management at Amazon. His areas of leadership include the Kindle device software experience, app experiences, and privacy.  

Before joining the Amazon team he was Director of Product Management, specifically AR/VR and IoT, at Monotype. In this role, he shifted the company's embedded portfolio towards embracing open-source platforms that opened up the addressable market, and unlocked engineering efficiencies. He launched the company's AR and VR product portfolio thereby positioning the company as an early leader in this emerging important space. He also played a key role in growing a personalization app for Samsung which in turn was showcased at Samsung’s Developer Conference.

Previously Vivek spent six years in various senior roles at Azimuth Systems and played a key role in its acquisition by Anritsu, a $1B+ market cap company. At Azimuth, he spearheaded the move from a traditional hardware portfolio, to a broader 5G, IoT software-centric portfolio that drove revenue, and made the company a strategic target for acquisition. He also led the launch and growth of a product, Field-to-Lab that made it easier to launch wireless devices/networks/chipsets, and was adopted as the golden industry standard and awarded multiple industry awards. Prior to Azimuth, Vivek worked in product development for startups and established public companies.

For his Bachelor's in Engineering, Vivek attended the University of Madras, one of the oldest and most reputed universities in India. He graduated in Electronics and Communication engineering with a university rank, emerging among the top 10 out of 10s of thousands. He subsequently went to Rutgers where he got his master's in electrical engineering. His thesis from WINLAB was on MIMO systems which are commonplace today and enable high-speed wireless. After a few years, he went to Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and earned his MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Vivek believes strongly in helping others, and mentors actively at work, and outside work. He is an Advisor for American Corporate Partners, a non-profit that aims to ease the transition of veterans from the military to the civilian workforce. He previously mentored with the Entrepreneurship for All program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has unquestionable faith in the power of culture, and people’s inherent talent and ability to prevail and succeed. He has played an instrumental role in the companies he has been at, in introducing new ways to develop people and recognizing and encouraging talent.  

Vivek is an experienced public speaker having done events all around the world with small and large audiences.
