Ama Williams

Ama is an Innovation Design Engineer inspired by human - product interaction and product development. Currently, she is forging a career in product management within the design and sustainability consulting spheres. Ama began her professional career as a Courseware Developer, however, shortly after she started attaining Product managerial roles within E-learning, Payments and Design fields. Her curiosity often leads her towards research, synthesizing new ideas, scoping out new spaces for innovation, and system/strategy mapping. In her past projects, Ama was involved in designing features and strategies with multiple stakeholders to enhance and nurture user participation, learning, and engagement for products at different stages of their life-cycle. At Mastercard, she co-managed a new product release for a Mobile Digital Wallet with QR Payment, scoped and led an investigation into how mobile wallets could succeed within various markets, producing a 'best practices’ guide to help mobile wallet providers succeed against DAC/XPay wallets like Google Pay on the android platform. Ama takes a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of engineering, design, and management, giving her a perfect blend of skills for a career in Product. 
She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design and earned both an MA and MSc in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Arts and Imperial College London, respectively. Ama is a truly compelling speaker who inspires with her enthusiasm and collaborative approach to solving problems.
