Amir Movafaghi is indebted to his managers, colleagues, and friends who were generous with their knowledge and time along the way. Currently, he’s the CEO of Mixpanel, their mission is to increase the rate of innovation. Not only as a company but for the businesses they serve. Through their analytics and engagement product, companies can analyze how and why their users engage, convert, and retain in real-time across web, mobile, and smart devices, and then they can use that data to improve their business and products.
Prior to his current role, Amir was a CFO at Spiceworks, the global IT marketplace that connects millions of technology buyers and sellers so they can get their jobs done, every day, and help tech professionals find, adopt, and manage the latest technologies while also helping tech brands build, market, and support better products and services.
For five years, Amir worked in various roles at Twitter, starting out as a Director of Corporate & Operations Finance, then Treasurer & Strategic Finance, and lastly as a Vice President of Global Business Operations. He led the global BD team that "co-builds" with Twitter’s product teams, managed international growth & distribution, and helped coordinate a holistic approach with a small list of large strategic partners.
Amir has a Bachelor’s in Business and Economics from California State University and an MNA from New York University.
