Director of Product Management, Groupon
Amrut is a seasoned Product Manager who is interested in using data to understand consumer behavior, business decisions, and life. Today, as a Director of Product Management, he leads the company’s efforts to enable real-time commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses.
He began his professional career as a Senior Data Analyst at comScore Inc, a recognized global leader in cross-platform measurement of audiences, advertising, and consumer behavior. One of his biggest achievements at comScore includes being responsible for the analytics end of the R&D team, which developed the company's newest audience measurement products many of which are now gold standards within the comScore product suite today. He has spent 4 years of his career at NT Concepts as a Senior Data Engineer and Analytics Lead and held the position in Analytics - Shipping & Returns at eBay. Prior to his current position he has been progressively attaining higher roles at Groupon, from a Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, eventually to a Director of Product Management.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Information Systems Management, with a concentration in Data Analytics and Digital Marketing, both from Carnegie Mellon University. Outside of his day job routine, his interests include basketball, dance, and comedy.
