Angela has spent the last year and a half working on data and machine learning for Spotify in her role as Product Manager. Before moving to New York for this role, she worked for Bell in Toronto. She started off with the company as a Graduate Leadership Program Specialist before working on Strategy and Analytics. In this role, she was in charge of leading a $1.1M call center development savings project from start to finish. This involved collaborating with different groups across the company such as IT and marketing. By using SQL to compare customer characteristics with recommendation quality, Angela and her team were able to resolve any complications that came their way.
She then went on to become a Value Creation Analyst. She worked on an internal consulting team that guided business units on everything from strategic projects to organization restructuring and improving effectiveness. Her last position with the company was as a Data Science Product Manager. During this time she worked on a five-year roadmap for a machine learning capital project valued at $15M. She also led an eight-person technical team through the development of a machine learning concept that resulted in improved predictive ability from 3x to 6x on the base model.
For her Bachelor's degree, Angelia studied Economics at Western University. During her four years, she also spent time on exchange at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In her spare time, Angela is a Mentor at the Women in Technology Society. She also previously volunteered at Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits as a Senior Consultant.
