Head of Product Inclusion at Paypal, Benjamin Earl Evans, aims to make products accessible to all. Benjamin approaches products with a creative flair. He has experience as an Inclusive Design Specialist at Nike, Digital Designer at Nickelodeon and as Senior User Experience Designer at Mars. You can quickly see how this experience, along with roles such as Product Inclusion Consultant and Head of Inclusion Design at Airbnb has shaped his role to date.
During his time at Airbnb he used design as a vehicle to tackle issues such as racism, sexism and certain bias and discrimination head-on. He was responsible for ensuring that travel experiences were accessible regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. It was here that he delivered multiple talks on how design thinking can help build inclusive products and services and increase equity and trust within product design. Today, Benjamin remains committed to tackling diversity, equity and inclusion, only this time within financial services. Ben co-hosted InVision’s “Picture the Future” event series, where he shared, "One of the powerful things about inclusive design is when innovation is born out of the needs of your diverse customers, it actually creates improvements that scale to everyone."
