Colleen is a Product Leader that’s passionate about bridging art and science to build features that delight users. Currently, in her role as Personalization Product Manager at Spotify in New York City, she drives the vision and strategy of Spotify's audio and music recommendations and leads a team of engineers in developing datasets, machine learning models, and APIs that power all of Spotify's personalization features. Colleen began at Spotify as Knowledge Manager of Data Operations where she architected and implemented Spotify's internal data and knowledge management platform and created programs to support Spotify's insights community comprised of data scientists, analysts, and user researchers. Prior to Spotify, she worked as Product Analyst for Adobe for 2 years, her role was to redesign the marketing insight department's intranet and create different learning programs, as well as managed third-party market research operations. Colleen’s career in tech began at Innovative Interfaces as a Systems Librarian, she partnered with academic, private, and public library institutions around the world by providing technical support and consulting. Some of her educational accomplishments include a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language & Literature/Letters from DePaul University and a Master’s Degree in Information Science/Studies from the University of Illinois.
