Emil Tabakov

Emil is passionate about building effective teams and products that people love. He is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at Coursera. Before this position, he spent over five years at the software company Progress. He started out with the company as a Senior Manager for Software Engineering. He worked on SaaS products deployed on AWS, an open-source framework for creating mobile applications among others. He later moved into a Product Manager role.

Before that, he was working at Telerik as a Software Engineer and Senior Team Lead. He has also held Software Engineer positions at Dais Software and Intelligent Systems Bulgaria. Emil attended the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski for both his Bachelor in Informatics and his Master in Computer Science.

Emil makes sure to stay engaged with not only his team but his customers and partners as well. He is especially dedicated to his work and always keeps the big picture in mind. His enthusiasm about his products is extremely contagious, pushing those around him to really put in their best work. Not to mention, his skills and ideas allow him to solve any problem that comes his way with ease.
