Monica Ugwi

Monica Ugwi is a Product Leader who has devoted over a decade to building meaningful products for millions of users. She has deep technical expertise and leads with empathy for users and her teams. She is obsessed with using technology to make lives better.

Throughout her career, she has worked at some very notable tech companies. She spent three years as a Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs, designing for their global high-frequency trading engine platform. A few years later she joined the team at Facebook, as a Produce Lead for Ads, Search, and Newsfeeds. She also was in charge of consolidating parts of the company's AI/ML platform across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Whatsapp. Monica later went on to work as a Product Leader at Google and Head of Product for Search and Data Residency at Shopify.
