Nick Fassler

Nick Fassler is a hands-on Product Leader, passionate about great user experiences that meet real business needs. He’s a former startup founder, growth marketer, nonprofit campaigner, and reformed MBA. Currently, Nick is a Principal Product Manager at BetterUp. Prior to his current role, Nick was Head of Product at Cleo, leading Product Management, design, and content strategy. He began his career as a Marketing Manager for M+R, where he was promoted from eCampaigns Associate, managing online advocacy and fundraising campaigns for Oxfam America and Human Rights Campaign.

After nearly three years, Nick went on to become CEO & Founder of Thrive.li, an enterprise SaaS startup to rethink performance reviews and employee feedback and built to a team of five, raised angel funding, launched MVP product with 500 users. Nick then worked at Yammer(Microsoft) as a Product Manager, building a brand new iOS messaging app, a discovery feed algorithm (with whiz-bang machine learning), integration with Microsoft’s identity system, led the UI redesign for Yammer’s web app, developed a PM mentor program, wrote Medium posts, and spoke at PM events. Once gaining Product Management experience, Nick went to work at Asana as a Product Manager and Program Lead for a 20-person mobile team. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Rutgers University and an MBA in Sustainability & Business from the University of Michigan.
