Niyathi Chakrapani
Product Leader, Microsoft
Niyathi Chakrapani is a Product Leader with experience working in both the large corporate and startup world. Niyathi is currently working at Microsoft, working to improve the search user experience by making it more accessible and secure for users. They started with the company as a Program Manager in 2019, working on machine translation ML models. Niyathi has also been a Contributing Writer at HuffPost for the past eight years. They also wrote a poetry book titled "Thirteen Ways of Looking at the Stars".
Niyathi attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies. They earned a degree in Neuroscience and Philosophy. They won multiple awards for their spectacular grades, including the Benjamin Franklin Scholar, Penn Emerging Scholar, and the Dean's List. During their studies, they held various internships at companies including Goldman Sachs, K Squared Fund, and Intrexon Corporation.
Niyathi has been described by colleagues as a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and entrepreneurship. Niyathi is great at breaking down complicated issues into simple explanations that make it easier for more members of the team to join in on the task at hand. On top of that, they bring an immensely positive attitude to the team, which results in everyone around feeling satisfaction when coming to work and solving user problems every day.
