Pamela Brown
Manager, Product Management, Amazon
Pamela is currently working as a Certifications Product Management Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS). She is responsible for setting the vision and roadmap for a portfolio of IT certifications. Before her current role, she spent almost five years as Director of Product Management at the Graduate Management Admission Council. There she led the development and management for the companies entire test prep product portfolio, both digital and non-digital products.
Her first official Product title was at Chatham Financial where she was a Regulatory Advisor Product Manager. She worked with an agile team of developers and QAs to develop a reporting platform for end-user firms. She also coordinated efforts across a number of geographically spread out teams.
Before stepping up into the product sphere, she dabbled in the entrepreneurship life. She co-founded Cygma, a social enterprise that focused on foreign exchange risk management in microfinance. She not only co-wrote the business plan but also led business development and marketing efforts while raising capital from investors.
Pamela earned her Bachelor's Degree from Brown University. She graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in American History and Political Science. She went on to continue her studies at Harvard University where she earned her Master's in Public Policy with a concentration in international development and economics.
