Alexander Weingart is an outcome-driven leader who is truly passionate about product strategy. With a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of media and tech, Alex is relentless at transforming that strategy into meaningful consumer experiences. Today, as the Lead Product Manager at CNET, he leads apps and loyalty teams, helping the company keep its status of being one of the top native digital brands in the industry.

Alexander earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Berkeley, California in Mechanical Engineering. He broke into Product right upon graduation, leading the mobile music product for Microsoft. His main responsibilities included spanning two major releases while organizing and refining the team’s agile structures. After working with Microsoft for almost 3 years, Alexander eventually took up the role as a Product Manager at Sosh, during which he built up a merchant team (KPI’s, roadmap, key products) from scratch to attract & retain high-quality merchants. Currently, as Head the CNET apps teams, Alexander drives strategy, roadmap, and ship.

On top of his solid understanding of scrum & agile practices along with exceptional leadership skills, Alex is also an enthusiastic speaker. In the future, he strives to keep creating a compelling product vision while harnessing his empathy and understanding of both customers and merchants.
