What is the Claude Code for PMs Certification?
The Claude Code for PMs Certification is a live online course from Product School for working product managers. It teaches you to stop chatting with AI and start configuring it, so Claude Code becomes the operating layer of your PM practice: persistent context, a hundred documents read at once, and a habit saved as a skill that runs without you. It includes 12 live hours and hands-on exercises, and you receive a Product School certificate when you finish.
What is Claude Code?
Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. It works inside a folder or codebase, reads the files, makes edits and completes multi-step tasks from written instructions. Engineers use it to write software. Product managers use it to analyze documents and data, understand what a codebase does, and build working prototypes without waiting for an engineering sprint.
Is Claude Code free?
No. Anthropic's free Claude plan does not include Claude Code. You need a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise) or an Anthropic API account. Anthropic sets and changes these prices, so check its pricing page for current rates.
How do product managers use Claude Code?
The Claude Code for PMs Certification teaches one use per module:
1. Get oriented: make Claude Code know your product with a CLAUDE.md file, core files and a first reusable skill.
2. Know your users: turn interviews and feedback into an insight synthesis and a decision brief.
3. Build and learn fast: go from an idea to a validated prototype.
4. Work with your team: tour a codebase, check specs and prepare QA so the work survives contact with delivery.
5. Read the numbers and communicate clearly: diagnose a metric, design an experiment and write the memo that gets a decision.
6. Build your systems and agent stack: save skills and agent specs so the work runs while you sleep.
How long does the Claude Code for PMs Certification take?
12 live hours in total. Choose a weekday or weekend cohort, depending on your schedule. Each class comes with a short pre-read, and recordings are posted afterward.
Do I need to be an engineer to take the Claude Code for PMs Certification?
No. No prior coding experience is assumed, and setup is walked through live. You do need to be a working product manager with solid product fundamentals, so this is not an entry-level course. Product School strongly advises completing the AI Product Management Certification first. If you are new to product management, start with Product Management Foundations.
How much does the Claude Code for PMs Certification cost?
$2,999 as a single certification, or as one of your courses in Pro ($3,999 a year for 2) or Unlimited ($4,999 a year, access to all 11 live instructor-led courses). Flexible payment plans are available. The course fee is separate from any Claude subscription.
What's the cheapest way to get to Claude Code for PMs if I'm new to AI?
The recommended path is AI Product Management first, then Claude Code for PMs. As single certifications, that costs $5,998; Pro covers both for $3,999 a year.
