Amandeep Khurana

Amandeep Khurana is a technology executive with over 15 years of experience in data and AI who serves as a Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic. Tasked with helping bring AI to the world in a human centered and safe way, he leads Forward Deployed Engineering, the team that works alongside enterprise customers to take Claude into production. That work spans architecting agentic systems, integrating Claude into existing engineering and data infrastructure, and translating what large organizations need into working deployments. As enterprises move from AI experiments to systems they depend on, this is where Anthropic's research meets operational reality.

At Anthropic, Amandeep drives the hands-on engineering work that turns a capable model into deployed enterprise systems. He came to the role after founding three products from zero inside AWS, Kiro, an AI-first IDE for agentic software development, a data privacy and governance product that became part of AWS DataZone, and an agent optimization product in Bedrock AgentCore. Before that he founded and led Okera, raising $14.6M from Bessemer, Felicis, and Capital One, growing it past 45 people, and exiting to Databricks in 2023. His path has run from engineer to solutions architect to founder and CEO to general manager to individual contributor product manager, each move chosen for learning and impact over title. Amandeep co-authored HBase in Action and advises companies on bringing AI into their organizations.
