Ben Galbraith

Ben is a Tech Entrepreneur, Executive, and Investor. He was a former Senior Director of Product at Google, leading Product Manager & Design for Firebase, and concurrently leading Developer Relations for most of Google’s developer offerings (with the exception of Google Cloud). Ben also led the Chrome team's Platform division and was responsible for Google's Web Platform strategy and for the Chrome platform stack, including the Blink rendering engine, the V8 JavaScript engine, Chrome's Developer Tools, Chromium's cross-platform graphics and networking stacks, and more. Prior to his role at Google, Ben was a Vice President of Global Products at Walmart, where he was promoted to a cross-functional leadership role over Product Management, design, and engineering for Walmart Global eCommerce, primarily focused on web front-end and mobile; reported to the CTO. A key leader in a years-long re-platforming effort, he focused on building an entirely new eCommerce site on top of the platform; and was also responsible for stewarding the legacy site throughout the transition period. He began working in the Mobile Engineering sector and first of the acquisitions that would become @WalmartLabs. Ben created a start-up embedded within Walmart.com and introduced modern development practices and opened the Portland office and pioneered distributed team culture. Hw was a key part of the team that introduced industry-leading mobile applications for Walmart, achieving triple-digit revenue and team productivity growth and achieving 4+ star rankings in iOS and Android app stores and winning Mobile Retailer of the Year recognition from the National Retail Federation.
