Gretchen Anderson is an independent and experienced product and design leader focused on products and services that impact our society at large and individuals within it. She's passionate about human-centered product development and is an author of the upcoming book Mastering Collaboration from O’Reilly Media.
Upon earning her Bachelor's degree in History and Literature from Harvard University, Gretchen began her professional work as a Project Manager at Ikonic, Inc. During this position, she managed the design and development projects for clients including Virgin Records, Sprint, and Parenting Magazine. During her lucrative career, Gretchen has held various positions in Design at various industrial design firms as Design Director, Senior Interaction Designer, and Head of Design, to name a few. Her entrepreneurial spirit eventually led her to found her own business, Primary Angle Consulting, specializing in strategic design consulting, product management, and collaboration coaching for select clients.
Gretchen brings more than 24 years of experience to her position, having worked on a broad range of activities during her career such as building and leading teams to design UIs, product concepting, and interaction design for a variety of web and desktop applications. Her specific areas of expertise include usability testing, interaction design, product design, and strategy. Gretchen was also granted 3 patents for her inventions.
