SVP of Product, American Express
Lisa Yokoyama is the SVP and Head of Product within American Express' innovation lab, driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise-wide digital solutions. She oversees a team of 60 product leaders and managers focused on AI-driven automation, digital commerce, and next-generation products, a practice she built from the ground up over the past 10 years. Lisa specializes in translating customer needs, business objectives, and marketplace insights into actionable digital product strategies. As an emerging technology expert within the organization, she's an advisor and educator across all levels of the company. Lisa is part of the executive team in Amex Digital Labs, a group focused on defining innovative digital products and services in the near to medium term.
Lisa leads product partnerships between American Express and her counterparts at Apple, Amazon, PayPal, and Google as well as with the organization’s strategic merchant partners. She's an evangelist for digital product management within the enterprise and sponsors the new product development process in Labs. Lisa actively mentors the next generation of digital product managers and helped define diversity, equity, and inclusion tools for product development across the company.
She joined American Express in 2008 after Columbia Business School where she received her MBA. Prior to business school, Lisa served as a community development volunteer for the Peace Corps in Haiti and then managed multi-million dollar HIV prevention grants for the non-profit Population Services International in Washington, D.C.
